It’s always the case with an Indian actress. Indian actresses are often portrayed as homely and moral figures, and they take on the roles of naïve and innocent women who are always dependent on the hero to bail them out of trouble. But when the song sequences arrive, though, the front benchers start to rejoice as the heroines are then decked up in the skimpiest of clothes and made to dance around in the rain. Such are the laws of decency in conservative India, and they have been so for long – so who can complain?

Although the kisses were hardly noticed back then (she wasn’t a major star), the videos from these movies are now hot on the internet.
