Day 14

Costume Shop

I love dressing up for Halloween! Today Margarita and I went to a costume shop.

Spirit had the best stuff for decorating with. There was this fake dead baby on the floor that started chasing us when we walked by. It's been a while since I've jumped so badly! I even ran away and hid. It was a candid camera moment!

We also fulfilled Maggie's dream of trying on a wig.
And we found Woody and Buzz! (I photo shopped this so we would look more together)

Speaking of costumes, this all got me thinking about what I should dress up as this year. I'm usually the kind of girl who gets inspired months before October even get here. Let's recap...

Two years ago I was Trixie from Speed Racer.

I saw

I immediately

loved it.

(Though looking back at the pictures, I can see I was way too skinny)

Last year, as far back as summer, I saw an episode of So You Think You Can Dance where the girls were dressed as their own superheros for a dance number. My favorite dancer that season was Jeanine and when I saw her outfit I was so inspired and knew that's what I wanted to be right away. This was really cool because it forced me to get creative and make my costume instead of just buying one I liked. I nailed it!

I even got the dance moves :)

This year my mind has been

scrambled with too many ideas to

narrow down. And it looks

like I'll be having at least

two costumes this year, maybe even

three. One of which I want

to be scary, and one with

possibly a toy/game theme. I'm

still waiting for that inspiration but

I'm running out of time. Any ideas?!
