~this and that~

Totally random pictures from my trip to visit Maria.
 Here we are outside the Tyler Florence store in California.
Loved that store.

  Maria's cabinet, loved it to pieces.
 I couldn't quite fit in my suitcase~darn!
 A cute little French bistro where we drank lots of coffee...
and indulged in sweets.
 This is what happens when you try to take my picture.
And darn it, I don't know why my blog is asking for a password.
It asks me for one too.
I just close out of it.
I'll try to figure it out~
in my spare time.
Also, how long has FLO been coming on with her insurance commercial during my music?
ANNOYING!
I was cleaning the house today listening to my blog music and kept getting interrupted by her.
Ugh, it's always something.
~love you all~

~a sign for sale~

Sorry for the grainy blurry photos, I don't know why they are turning out like this.
Anyway, I wanted to make sure you saw the summer issue of souvenir, it has a ton of great ideas! In it, you will see my DIY on this sign I made. If you are not a DIY~er and live in the area, this sign is available for sale at Ruffles and Rust Square in Snohomish Wa.

It's really cool, obviously the pictures here don't do it justice.
It would make a great focal point in any room of your house.
It reads, "Warwick's Ales & Stout" and I made it to look like an original vintage sign I saw on the internet.
In a few hours, I will be here.
I can hardly wait.
I promise to take lots of photos and I'll be back early next week to share them all with you!

~white~{that's about as clever as I'm getting today}

 When you have friends with houses that look like this, you start to feel like your own home
 is a bit inadequate.
My friend Leah's home is drop dead gorgeous in my eyes.
I haven't seen it in person.
I'm sure it's even better in person.
But for now, I get to look at all the beautiful photos courtesy of my friend Isabel.

 I have tried doing white walls in my house.
They never looked as good as this.....
 I have LUSTED
{yep, that's what I said}
over this cow painting for years.
Someday.....
 I love cows.
My grandparents had cows, and if my husband would let me, I'd have about 10 of them.
I also wanted to apologize for not blogging as regularly as I am used to.
Ruffles and Rust Square has been super busy and I find myself consumed by re~stocking the shelves!
Thanks to all who came out on Saturday for the sale!
It blew my mind how much I sold!
Have a great Monday.
I'm off to go bake some cookies!

I can't believe I get to hang out with Maria and stay in her beautiful home.
I just may never leave.

~a dreamy giveaway~

I first met Maria when she started her blog.
I remember the first time I saw photos of her house, my jaw literally hit the ground. I knew just by looking at her home and the photos she took, that she was one talented girl! What I didn't know is that we would soon become great friends. I am so glad to have met her {even though we've never met face to face yet} We chat on the phone and do the texting thing, but through all of that one thing remains the same. She is the kindest, sweetest, most generous person I have ever met. Her love for all things vintage is apparent in her photos of her own home. Her love for her family shines through her blog as well. We talked a bit about doing a giveaway here on my little old blog
{and I say little because compared to hers, it is!}
I thought if she accepted she would want to maybe give away a few lavender sachets, or something like that.
But oh no.
Just look what Maria is giving away to one of you lucky readers!
{and she will ship internationally!}
 How'd you like to win this chic French linen market tote?
and......
 and.... this antique french linen vintage towel.....
 how about 6 lavender sachets?
{8x8}
oh, but I'm not done....
Maria is also including a vintage French wine bottle in this giveaway!
I do have to say, this is one giveaway I would love to win!!!

You will have several chances to enter.
Be sure to leave a separate comment for each one.

1} follow dreamy whites blog {if you don't already}
2} follow my blog, my sweet savannah
3} For a final chance to win, visit Maria's store and then come back here and tell me what else you have to have!

You will have until Thursday the  14th to enter and I
will be choosing a random winner on Friday the 15th.

Thank you Maria!

Also, my friend Kasey let me know this morning that I made this list!
I am so honored, and I have all of you to thank!

~a project with friends & a winner~

My friend Kelley contacted me a little while ago with a really fun project.
She had found 3 old Herbarium books,
full of plant pressings and descriptions.
The entries date from 1893~1898.
~wow~

She asked me,

Artie of color outside the lines

and

Andrea of faded plains

if we were up to a little challenge.

{and of course, Kelley is participating too!}

She sent us each 4 pressings and descriptions
and asked us all to come up with a way to frame these for under $20.
Hum, I wonder if I can do it.
{all photos from Kelley at the polished pebble}
I'm a little nervous, I am up against some seriously talented bloggers!
Come back on Thursday the 18th to see the results.
And, the winner of the $50 gift card giveaway is...........
Congratulations!
xoxo
Also, a reminder that you can still get your free custom 8x10 canvas, no strings attached!
